In 1952 RAF Chaplain-in-Chief, Canon Leslie Wright (who later became a member of the NMBS committee), sought and received the authority to hold a Mission to the RAF. Small teams of missionaries travel for a week at a time to almost every RAF station both at home and overseas. The Society was privileged to share in the Mission. This initiative ended up with 50,00 special Mission edition Gospels being distributed.
